I keep hinting to all of my female choir friends that they need to do it, but so far only the men seem terribly excited…this truly is an odd phenomenon!

i haven’t sung (properly) in nearly 5 years, so getting somewhere near “singing fit” is proving to be more difficult than i thought. still…i’ll be attempting A1&2… tried the S2 as well, but oooo m’ giddy aunt, that high-G doesn’t sound at all like it did back in the old days
but, ja… the preview’s sounding absolutely fantastic already! yay! (how exciting!) – go team!
I’m a Bass 2, and I’m not really a performance major or anything. Should I even bother submitting?
Of course you should! And you should sing Bass I and Tenor II and Tenor I, too!
I’ve got bass II down, and I could probably learn the bass I part before the 30th, but the tenor parts are just out of my range.
My video will be up as soon as my webcam stops skipping- I’ve recorded myself numerous times now, but for whatever reason in the middle of the recording (when I play it back) it will randomly skip from one moment to a few seconds later… Which is definitely far from ideal for something like a virtual choir. >_<
what part in the men do you need i can to whatever you need?

Taylor, Tenor I has the lowest enrollment right now. Bass II has a bunch, and Bass I and Tenor II are the same.
Could I get my whole choir to do it and video it on one thing? Or do they need to be seperate?

I would be all over the virtual band if that actually happened. This whole idea is just amazing…how a little over 10 years ago if someone said this kind of thing would be possible it would have been science fiction. It still baffles my mind that the internet hasn’t been around 20 years for public use and it has gotten to the extent where one can video chat across the world for free… but innovations among music are paralleled, relatively. Anywho- get the band one going!!! I’ll be the first one to post a video!

So all we have to do is submit a video of ourselves singing “Sleep” in our comfortable parts? where do we post them? Im probably one of the biggest fans out there so this is definatley my field.
Its not too late, right? I really want to submit, but its only a week til the 30th. Hopefully the deadline doesn’t get moved up.

I recorded myself too, and for some odd reason I had the same problem with my webcam as jbrown…I was up until 3 am Monday night trying to figure out how to fix it (no kidding!) but it kept on doing the same thing. Gah! So frustrating…I wish it would have worked because it would have been an AMAZING moment for me, being bitten by the choir bug (thanks to your music)and getting a chance to sing in a choir(even though it’s “virtual”)after not being in a choir since I was 10. Anyway, I’m sure the video will turn out wonderfully! Whoo-hoo!
